Supernanny - Thank you!
I don't usually watch the Supernanny because I can never remember when the show is on, but a few weeks ago I saw her on Oprah (not sure if it was a rerun or not) and I have to say THANK YOU! I could totally relate to some of those parents...and some of those kids were as wild as my boys can get sometimes.
We took some tips on getting the kids to bed and put more effort into have a more organized structure to our day. We haven't got a "naughty mat" or "naughty stool" yet, but I have been placing the boys in the same part of the living room, using the same principle and it does actually work.
I love how she encourages parents to stay calm and makes sure the kids know who is boss. She has a new book...but I'm hoping she'll have her show out on DVD soon (or is it available somewhere? I want it!).

Cool. I remember flipping through her book at the Barnes and Noble and thinking she had a lot of no-nonsense wisdom. I just hope Oprah didn't open her mouth about parenting. That really gets on my nerves!
I think she seems to know her stuff. I enjoy watching her help these families.
No, Carrie - Oprah didn't say anything. She just said, "I knew there was a reason I didn't have kids," or something like that.
