Pre-Mama Body vs. Post-Mama Body
Well, I was going to the gym regularly and managed to develop a nicely shaped waste and a not-so-jelly tummy. Yes, things still jiggled, but I looked good in my clothes. Just before Christmas, I stopped going and very quickly everything started to sag and my love handles were hanging out over my jeans again. ARGH!
So, I knew what I had to do. I had to go back to that gym and fix it. Not just because of appearances, but suddenly I was so drained of energy and tired all the time. It made a big difference to the way I felt.
But anyway, 2 weeks later, I seem to have sculpted the half-decent figure again. It never used to work like this when I was in my early and mid-20s. Could I have an elastic body? Am I Elastic-Mama? ;-)
I remember when I was younger, I noticed that about an hour after my mom woke up, she still had lines on her face from where her sheets and pillows pressed against her face. I commented on it and she said, it's because she's old and that happens. I didn't understand at the time, but I guess we just aren't the same when we hit our (OH MY GOSH!) mid-30s.

I tried on some pants yesterday and saw dimples on the tops of my thighs for the first time in my life. Ugh! I vowed to get back out there with my walking routine. And then we had snow flurries today. LOL! I'm not dragging a baby around in that kind of weather.
Sigh.
It'll be spring before I whip myself back into shape. I'm just glad I can fit into my size 8s for the time being.
Dh says I get better with each kid. He's sweet ain't he ;)
