Cloth v Disposable v... No Diapers
In most parts of the world, mothers raise their little ones without diapers. They cue in to baby's signals from birth, and when the appropriate time comes, hold baby over a potty (or bush, in some areas!) and let nature take its course.
And some of us wall-to-wall carpeted folks are embracing this practice. They call it "the way it's always been done". We call it Elimination Communication, or Natural Infant Hygiene.
If you'd like to learn more, listen to Melinda Rothstein on Natural Moms Talk Radio. Melinda is the co-founder of Diaper Free Baby, a nonprofit organization that gives information and support to parents choosing to raise a baby, without diapers.

Wow! You'd have to be one attentive parent to manage that. My two guys were constantly distracting me from the other, it would have been tough to manage.
I couldn't do it, but I know a few people that have. The ones I know have a service that picks up the diapers and cleans them so they don't actually have to wash them themselves.
Interesting Mila- most people have never heard of EC.
I used to think that Alice (that to do EC you have to sit and stare at the baby all day), but it's not really the case. Oh and btw, you wouldn't have to go far to see how it's done. I hear the native Canadians (not sure what the tribe is called) on Vancouver Island still practice it. ;)
