Somebody Call 911
Gosh ladies you'd think we were torturing him the way he screams and fights us. I have to hold him and keep his free hand from getting in Daddy's way.
I don't know why he does this either. He has never had a bad incident with the nail clippers. I tell you when he gets stronger I don't know how we'll be able to cut his nails.
Anyone else have this problem? I'd love some help with this problem - any suggestions?

Both my boys were this way and the only way they'd sit still is if Babi (my mom) cut their nails. For me, they'd scream and fight.
Now Malcolm will let me cut his nails and he always does it to show how easy and painless it is. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Nathan seems to prefer nail scissors to clippers, so it might be something to try.
Try kissing his finger tip after you clip them or sing a song. My daughter hated me clipping her nails because I clipped her fingertip by accident.
I don't know what to suggest, my oldest son would do this too... it was really difficult. The other two are okay with it.
Do it when he's asleep.
That's what I have to do with my youngest. When he's asleep doesn't work because he sleeps too lightly!
I agree with Carrie.. I had to clip Lyndsee's nails when she was asleep. Now I try to make a game of it since she is getting older.
I did it during sleep when they were little babies, but that doesn't work anymore either.
I'm talking about that deep, limp-limbed sleep. If you can pick up their arm and it just drops, they won't wake up for a nail clipping.
Doesn't that work?
I'll see about the sleep thingy, but he is such a light sleeper that I doubt it'll work. Even when he is OUT like a light I can just walk into the room and he stirs. We'll give it a shot.
