For A Moment Like This
Some days when you're tired, a little stressed and counting the minutes until hubster comes home with your Starbucks, the littlest thing can make your day.
Friday my 5 year old and 3 year old were playing together in the driveway. These two play together, fight together, laugh a lot, torture each other a lot...the oldest has an especially effective antagonization. He holds her baby doll high above his head like some Ancient Aztec Doll Sacrifice Ceremony. This makes her scream, of course.
But then he comes up to me in the middle of riding trikes with her and says: "Mommy, she's my best friend."
"Who?"
"Lana."

Sweeties! Natey always says I'm his best friend, but he also tells his Dad and brother that too. I guess that's a good thing! ;-)
What an adorable pair of buds those two are! I cannot wait to see my boys together.
How cute, Don't times like that just make your heart melt. I love it when my kids say things like that... really makes my day.

I love it when my oldest goes up to my youngest and hugs hime and tells him he loves him. Even with almost 8 years between them, they are still so loving! The youngest lights up every afternoon when his big brother comes home from school. It's priceless.
