Honey, We're Killing the Kids T.V. Show
Honey, We're Killing the Kids is a reality-type program that finds these parents who are - literally - killing their kids and attempts to turn things around. The website also health tools and llinks to healthy recipes that might come in handy.
It's a sad fact that child obesity is on a horrific rise in Canada and the United States. I just hope that the message gets out to parents that this needs to stop. No more class-action lawsuits against McDonald's that don't teach our kids anything but to be lawsuit happy...our family's health is in our own hands.

Hear, hear. Just because they build a McDonald's doesn't mean I have to drive my kids there.
Overweight kids make me sad. I remember when I was in school, there was the ONE fat kid in your class and you felt kind of sorry for them. Now, almost every kid has a belly hanging out over their jeans. They're setting themselves up for a lifetime of health issues and self esteem issues too.
Parents need to be more vigilant.
This is just another sign of parents overindulging their kids with everything they want. Just because your kid asks (or whines) about wanting fast food doesn't mean you have to stop there. Yes, it's easy but just watch the movie Super Size Me to see the health dangers.
We rarely go to McDonalds anymore (since about 2 years ago). Now that I know what's actually in that stuff I just can't feed it to my kids very often.
We will occasionally go, maybe two or three times a year because I don't believe in completely denying them anything as it will just make them want it more. But now my eldest will actually say, I don't want mc Donalds it's junk food... pretty amazing stuff coming from a 9 year old.
We don't do soda's or processed junk food either. I don't think my kids could actually drink a soda... it's too strong for them to take.
Parent's definitely need to be more aware but the problem is some parents don't know or realize how bad that stuff actually is.
Alice I totally agree with the lawsuits and McDonald's comment. You have the choice to live the way you want. Take responsibility for your own life and actions and teach your kids to do the same.
