I knew this day would come!
I know that online shopping has been available to many in large communities but I live in northern Michigan and grocery delivery just isn't done up here.
But thanks to the new grocery line at Amazon.. I can seriously stock my pantry without ever leaving my house.
Cereal, laundry soap, cleaning supplies... all in great bulk packages. Comparing prices to what I'd pay locally, they're not bad at all.
Shipping is not a problem, their Super Saver rates apply so you can get your stuff shipped to you free as long as you spend the minimum.
I don't mean to sound like a commercial... I'm just really geeked about it!

haha. I noticed this today, and was wondering who would buy this stuff from the net, now I know one!! I guess being in Canada I figured it's probably way cheaper at the grocery store but maybe I'll check it out anyway, I'm not a fan of grocery stores :) .
Probably not available in Canada. I have been WAITING for this for YEARS. Come to Canada, please. Even in bigger U.S. cities, Safeway delivers. Please deliver to my house!
I've shopped for groceries online a few times but it always takes me ages so I just end up going down to the supermarket.
Oh I remember 5 years ago I used to order my groceries online... can't remember the company, but they stopped serving the Atlanta market shortly after.
It ROCKED. I LOVED getting the handsome UPS guy bringing me food!
When we lived in WA both Albertsons and Safeway delivered. It was soooo nice! They brought them right into your kitchen and all you had to do was unpack and put them away. I miss those days! Now we are out in the country in IL (which we like) but it is 20 mintues to the grocery store.
OMG - and that Free Super Saver stuff even applies to Hawaii. Auugghhh - I'm going to be grocery shopping and have things delivered to my door!
