The Instigator

My children assume one of 3 roles depending on their mood which I have affectionally dubbed The Instigator, The Informer and The Terminator. While each of them usually assumes one of these roles most of the time, they switch it up periodically just to keep me on my toes.

Tonight at dinner The Instigator, here the 8 year old boy, starts doing what he does best to his 3 year old sister.

"Laaaannnnaaa, I'm going to tickle yoouuuu..."

"No you NOT!"
Lana is brandishing her fork wildly, almost stabbing her 9 month old sister in the eye.

Said 9 month old is egging them on, hopping up and down on my knee and chanting: "Eh! Eh! Eh! Eh!" She just loves a good fight.


"Mo-om, tell Lana she is sadly mistakened"

"Laaaaannnnnaa, I'm going to tickle yooouuu..."

Meanwhile Lana chants over and over "I poopy in you BUTT! I poopy in you BUTT! I poopy in you BUTT!"

"Mo-om, tell Lana she is sadly mistakened."
