It's Alice for Goodness Sake!

Okay, I know that I have an old-fashioned name, but what is it with the youngsters these days? Hee hee...I love to say that.
Whenever I make an appointment or have to give my name somewhere and the person taking it is under 30, they always have to ask me how to spell Alice.
We ordered in the other day and the girl on the phone said, "A-l-i-s?"
What? My name's Alice. It's like Peter, Paul or Mary. A simple name with the same spelling all the time.
Society is obviously going down the drain! ;-)

Plus my daughter is Alice. ;)
Like Alice in wonderland? C'mon everyones has seen that one--maybe not :)
Yes and Alice in Wonderland. It's a story book, a movie and more. I guess it's kind of old, but even my kids know the story!
You have got to be kidding me Alice! I mean I give it to people that they don't know how to spell my first and last name (Nell is not my full name...nickname), but ALICE! Give me a break. How could you not figure that one out. :roll eye:
Try having Arika? LOL
Goes with the lines of kids not knowing how to make change without a calculator or cash register I guess.
My Grandmother is Alice Lee. I'm named after her: Carrie Lee. I love the name Alice. Some people just don't get out much, eh?
People are nuts... LOL
My married last name (I go by Houck my maiden name online) sounds like "Stink" but I obviously pronounce it right and still for example I go pick up our pizza and it says Jennifer Stink.. Come on people PLEASE listen to me. Is there even anybody's last name Stink?
LOL, I'm sorry Jen but that's too funny... the kids at the pizza place are probably doing it on purpose!
I don't get that one either Alice, how could anyone get that spelling wrong, LOL.
Oh my goodness. I guess I shouldn't feel bad for giving my kids names that everyone will spell wrong because it's seems that they are getting the easy ones wrong anyway - so no harm done. :)
A-L-I-S ~ you've got to be kidding.
I'm sure people even spell Abcde wrong - yes, that's a real name. One of our 10U softball players has that name.
