Do You Believe in Fairies?
"There are many myths and legends associated with the Tor – it is the home of Gwyn ap Nudd, the Lord of the Underworld and King of the Fairies, and a place where the fairy folk live."
So, the definitely wanted to see some fairies! So we hiked up there and although they didn't see any fairies, LOL they really enjoyed it. There are some great views from up there. It's interesting because people report all sorts of stories about feeling very spiritual up there or different but I just felt a bit light headed (I don't like heights!)
All in all it was a fun day, I'm not keen on Glastonbury the actual town but going up to the Tor was a nice experience for the kids. You can take a look here:

That is sooo cool. In North America, we just don't have documented history like that. We tore down much of what the Natives had and the European history here is so short.
I've been to a few places in Europe, but I haven't hit the UK yet...maybe soon.
Did you see any fairies?
LOL, no fairies unfortunately.
I'm really enjoying learning about all the history here. We've also been to the Glastonbury Abbey where King Arthur is said to be burried, Stone Henge and all sorts of cool places.
I can't wait to see more of Europe too.
I also think that is so cool. Everyone always asks why we go certain places for vacation when we live in Hawaii - there's nothing like that here. Most of what was here before the westerners came is gone. Although I do like going to Iolani Palace - but that's not quite like those castles in Europe!
