My Independent Boy - A Horror Story

This morning, there were guys working on our roof at 6:30 AM. It was so loud, me and Malcolm couldn't sleep. Somehow Natey and my husband didn't seem phased and they snored through the whole thing.

Malcolm and I decided to go out for french toast and left a note for the two sleepy heads. We come back and we're greeted by this:

He had permanent marker in all colors all over his face, legs arms and clothes. He'd also served himself a breakfast of ice cream and emptied out most of the low cupboards in the kitchen. He was having a great time.

I asked, "Didn't you wake up Daddy?"

"No."

I couldn't believe it. He didn't disturb his Daddy's precious beauty sleep, but if I'm home and Natey wakes up, Natey always screams at me to wake up.

Well, off to the bath to try to scrub some of this stuff of him. Luckily some of the marker is red and it's Canada Day, so the color is fitting!

Oh that is too funny!
My 3 year old daughter has scared me at times. Once when we were downstairs she went up and I didn't think much of it, I figured she was just going potty or getting a snack. After a few minutes I went up to check on her and she was up there playing.
Later that day I found out from a neighbor that she had walked down the street to her house!
I felt like the world's worst Mom.

Sneaking into the ice cream... classic! LOL!

LMBO! I feel ya Alice.

Once on Christmas day my son got a big toy box so before we took it upstairs we put all the rest of his Christmas toys in it. He had gotten crayons and I thought I got them all out of there before it went to his room. WRONG!!

Later that afternoon he woke up from his nap and I went up to get him and within about 1 minute he had colored as high as he could all the way around his room with a black crayon! :)

Hey, atleast you didn't need to feed Natey breakfast this morning! ;)
