When You Gotta Have A Banana...

My 8 year old son just took out the trash, but I didn't notice that some of the Borax that I sprinkle in the bottom of the trash can (keeps mold from growing- an issue here in the Southeast) had gotten sprinkled out onto the floor.

Sadie crawls over and pulls the can over because one of her siblings had thrown away a half eaten banana. I swooped her up when I saw the powder... yikes!

I quickly rinsed her hands and everything and then called Poison Control. They said it was no problem... only if she had ingested large amounts and was vomiting should I worry. "A taste is nothing to worry about." Thank goodness!

Sheesh. Sometimes I think if my kids make it to be 18 it'll be a miracle.
