Thoughts and Stories from Moms - Just Because We Said So! Need We Say More?

What is the big, hairy deal?

Pornographic? That's what one mom thought, she was so offended that she shredded this magazine so her 13 year old son wouldn't see it.

Hmm... I wonder if she turns off the TV when the Victoria's Secret Angels commercials come on? I don't have a 13 old yet, but I sure as heck wouldn't be embarrassed for him to see this healthy representation of what breasts actually exist for.

Something else I thought was hilarious was the mom who said she didn't want her husband "accidentally seeing a breast he didn't want to see."

What man on the planet ever has a problem with accidentally seeing a breast? LOL! Let's not kid ourselves ladies... it's US who has the self loathing problems.

Those are some wild reactions!

I don't get it.

If a few more 13 year old boys got to see breasts in that light it would be a better place in my opinion.

My kids wouldn't be phased by this and neither would I... the oldest saw me breast feeding many times.

It's just a boob for goodness sake!

I don't get why people are making a big deal of this. It's beautiful and natural.

Boobies...hee hee.

Carrie, I think that mom meant to say:
"accidentally seeing a breast I didn't want him to see."

The big hairy deal is that we see breasts as sexual and not for feeding. Right or wrong, that is how most people seem to see it.

Nell you're right. One of the comments was "a breast is sexual" - not to the baby that's nursing it isn't! People's views are what make it a "bad" thing. I think that cover is cool.
