Open Season Movie

We went to see the movie Open Season tonight. Not a bad little movie about a grizzly bear (Martin Lawrence) and a mule deer (Ashton Kutcher) stranded in the woods just days before open hunting season.

It's got some funny moments and the characters are well done, but I still lament for the time when movies as great as Nemo. Still the story was captivating for the kids...and Nathan didn't even say he was done with the movie until 15 minutes before the end (he usually says earlier than that!).

The movie does have a PG rating at is well-earned from the rather brutal violence, which is minimized through the art of animation. It seemed to fly over my kids heads...much like the Looney Toons cartoons did in my day.
