Small Irritations - Nice Weekend Anyways
Don't you hate it when you buy a package of yummy dark molasses cookies and they're all stuck together?
I know they technically taste the same after you've pried them apart and gotten molasses cookie under your finger nails... but something in lost in the process.
Ah well... it's a small dent in an otherwise nice weekend.
Sean is with his Dad until tomorrow evening so it's been a quiet few days here at home. I worked part of Saturday - until my motor gave out about 5:30pm and I parked on the loveseat in the living room the rest of the night and a large portion of today. It felt great!
I'm missing the boy tonight though. Can you imagine what it will be like with it's not just a long weekend? When he goes off to college and life?
*sigh* Not ready to think such deep thoughts yet.

It must be tough when they get ready to leave home. My friend said to me the other day (our boys are both 9), did you realize that half the time Alex will live at home has already passed? It was a strange way of looking at it but it made me realize that I really need to enjoy all those little moments because they grow up way too fast.
Kelly, coming from a mom that sent here baby off to college last year, I have to say it was the BIGGEST adjustment I ever had to make.
On one hand I was so proud of her and happy to see her enter this new life chapter and on the other had I wanted to slap a diaper on her and breastfeed her :)!!
One of the best things that I focus on, is when she makes GREAT decisions, I can say.. WOW she is going to make it!!
