Unselfish Giving - Are You Teaching Your Kids?
Last Friday, hubby went to Safeway to grab a few items. I gave him a list, but as he left, I asked for a Diet Coke.
When he returned I asked, "Did you remember the Diet Coke?" I knew I'd probably forget if it wasn't on the list.
He said, "Oh no. I'm sorry."
Sweet little 3 year-oldNatey comes up to me, puts his arm on my shoulder, "Don't worry, Mommy. I'll buy you a Diet Coke with my own money."
Of course, we said he didn't have to do that. Instead, my husband said Natey could take some money out of his piggy bank and get a treat from the store for himself. They went off to the store (Daddy to get me a Diet Coke...how sweet too...and Natey to get a treat for himself).
Well, wouldn't you know it. Natey's off the hook from buying me a Diet Coke, but he takes his money and buys 4 KinderSurpise eggs. One for his brother, one each for Heidi's kids and one for himself.
