Deep Frying Your Turkey

With American Thanksgiving coming up, I guess many moms are starting to stress about dinner preparations. Here's a big cooking gadget that would probably get your other half interested in cooking a turkey this Thanksgiving.

Turkey Fryer
What is it? Why, it's a turkey deep fryer.

A few years back my in-laws bought one of these things and I thought it was the most bizarre idea ever...but they kept raving about it. Finally, I was able to experience the famous "deep fried turkey."

It's quite amazing, actually. The turkey cooks much more quickly and is so incredibly juicy and tender inside. The skin gets so crisp that it keeps the juiciness inside. YUM!

Whenever my in-laws fry up a turkey it's an event. The men are outside standing around the fryer, while the women are inside getting all the other preparations done.

Definitely worth tasting a deep fried turkey!

I would take a Deep Fried Turkey over a baked one any day. I have never cooked one but had it on many occasions and they are yummy!!

I may invest in the fryer and try it one time or two and If I can get it to come out Delicious, then serve it up next year on Turkday Day :)

I've never tried it but my sister told me it's delicious. I always wondered how it actually cooks a big bird through w/o burning it on the outside?

Mila, it cooks it quite quickly, so it won't get totally burned. My parents in law just throw out the skin because it's so crisp, but I think it's kind of tasty!
