This is my first post here at BMSS and I'm so happy to be a new contributor! I've been trying to figure out what to say for my first post and as I answered my son's (Hayden) question today I realized this would be a good thing to share, lol..
Today as I'm driving him to his dad's house (I'm a single mom) he asks me this:
"Mommy, do people live forever?"
He's four so lots of discovering life and how things work is going on, and he always has lots of questions. I told him no, people don't live forever. Then his next question was do people get killed. I said yes, sometimes.
Now he's lately been so obsessed with guns and playing army man. Is it just a boy thing? I think/hope so! I don't like toy guns so I don't have them here and of course he doesn't watch violent shows but he plays with his older (7 yr old) cousin who has video games and they play army man and the like.
Anyway, we had a discussion about how people live their life and usually they get to live under they are very old and then their life comes to an end. Then he asks 'Are Nanny & Poppy's lifes almost coming to an end?'
LOL.. I said no they have plenty of years to go...
The things kids think of! I'm sure I'll have lots of harder questions to come.. but it's so funny when they think of new things and are trying to figure life out..
Next he'll ask me the meaning of life! Or tell me it! lol..
