6 1/2 Hours & Some Quick Creative Thinking

On the spur of the moment, today is the day I decided to finish all my Christmas shopping and wrapping. Well, that is with the exception of my sons and my husband. I like to take my time with those things and save them for last. But all the other family members, teachers, friends, etc...had to be done today.

This year, I had decided to make many of my gifts. That included some jewelry for the little girls, gift baskets and so forth. I still had quite a few little things on my list, so I headed of this morning to pick some things up, but I couldn't get them all. Tough, I thought...I was going to make this work and get it off my plate.

I returned home whipping up the gifts baskets and suddenly, I ran into a problem with 3 of my husband's uncle's gifts. I didn't have the things I needed for a gift basket and I had to think fast. I had 3 Blockbuster gift certificates in front of me and I thought...that's so blah.

So, I came up with this:

I grabbed a pickling jar, some popcorn kernels and some festive ribbon and now I have, "Movie Night in a Jar". :-)

After 6 1/2 hours of basket making and wrapping, I'm finally done. I just had to find a place to store all the gifts, but that's another story...

Alice this is really cool! Last year I was given a gift card to our local movie place and then in a big bowl was a few different kinds of microwave popcorn, some candies in a box and I thought that was pretty cool too. But this is really neat! I might have to 'steal' your idea :-)
