Do you take Christmas Detail Shots?
We put so much effort into it each year that it's nice to be able to look back on what we did. Even when I was a young mom in my twenties, I did what I could to make a nice spread for the holidays.
We didn't have any fancy cutlery, table or chairs. But I remember distinctly one Easter dinner where my husband and I put pineapples on the table like centerpieces.
It sure brought a nice scent to the dinner table too.
Anyhow, here's my Christmas Table from last year, we have alot of kids. 15 children between myself and 3 sisters, but we all still manage to sit together. And to remember as I look at this table of the conversations that were shared, loved, and enjoyed last year.
I just love to remember every single Christmas and Holiday. Do you take detail shots each year?
I stay in the habit of it to see how we change over the years. This is my entrance from the front door, The light ring looks much more beautiful in person, but you get the idea. I take pictures of everything so we can remember every single year.

I take pictures of the tree and indoor and outdoor decorations each year.
Your setting looks beautiful, Vera. Wow...15 kids! ;)
It looks really nice Vera, I love all those little details too and I've always tried to make these days special.
I'm not the greatest with taking pictures though and now that the kids are getting older I do forget certain times... gosh when they're teenagers 2 or 3 must seem like a memory. You've inspired me to take more pictures this holiday.
I'm glad I helped inspire you ladies. :-) Arika, my sister became a granny this year so we actually now have 16! 15 + 1 Great Nephew of mine.
Mila, as the kids get older and you look back at the pics as they're teenagers, you'll do the same thing. Was that age 14 or 15?
I'd love to see your detail shots too! :-)
Vera - I love taking pics of our holidays - I've been bad about scrapbooking though since we bought the digital camera - I gotta get back into that. It is nice to see the changes in the way we decorate our home for the holidays and how the kids have grown.
