Everyone's Gonna Be OK

I got some scary news this weekend. For those of you who don't know me that well, I'm a single mom and my son goes to his dad's every second weekend.

So this weekend I dropped my son, Hayden, off at his dad's at 9:30am and everything was pretty normal. At about 2:30pm his dad called me and I could tell right away there was something wrong. He told me that I may need to come pick up Hayden because there had been an accident.

Hayden's two cousins, their mom, their aunt and their grandma had all been in a car accident. I found out later that night that they had hit some black ice (unexpected because it has been so warm lately) and the van they were in tumbled over 5 times. Everyone ended up in the hospital and the baby (10 months old) had been hit in the head somehow and had to go for a cat scan. The grandma for some reason wasn't wearing her seatbelt and had to have the van cut apart to be taken out, and she was hurt the worst of it all.

It seems like everyone is going to be OK, thank goodness! Aunt and Grandma are still in hospital but the kids and mom are out.

In my panic that things would be ok yesterday I posted to Mom Masterminds that for those they prayed could they please pray for the little guy and his family. Thinking about it after I guess it was a pretty strange request since I don't pray myself. But I guess I knew the ladies over at MM would be all over showing their support, and they were of course.
