Favorite Christmas Music - thank you iTunes!
I especially love holiday music. However, some music I like better than others. Until the ability to download music, I was stuck with tons of Christmas CD each of which had maybe 1 or 2 of my favorite versions of Christmas tunes. Let's face it, not all Christmas tunes are the same...even if its the same song. Ertha Kitt doing Santa Baby is different than Madonna. The American Idols doing Christmas isn't the same as Bing Crosby and Andrews Sisters.
But now, I have all my favorite songs, in my favorite versions! In the spirit of VH-1 what's on your iPod, here are some of the songs I have:
1) This Christmas - Macy Gray
2) Jingle Bells - I love 2 versions; Bing Crosby and Barbara Streisand
3) Christmas Waltz - Carpenters although Frank Sinatra's version is good too.
4) Baby It's Cold Outside - I want Ray Charles' version that I heard on Different World, but I can't find it. Next best is Johnny Mercer.
5) Christmas Eve - Tran- Siberian Orchestra
6) All I want for Christmas - Olivia Olson (off of Love Actually soundtrack)
7) Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee...sometimes the original is best.
8) Little Drummer Boy - Bing Crosby and David Bowie (I like the older, original version of this song as well.)
I have more, but you get the picture. I'm looking for a best version of Holy Night. With the right singer, that song can take your breath away. I'm leaning towards Michael Crawford, Josh Grobin and ... I hate to say it Clay Aiken's versions.

My daughter has been listening to Kenny Chesney's Christmas cd all day via my ipod. She's been singing "oohhh ooohhh oohhh all I want for Christmas...is a real good tan..." all day long. LOL
I like Harry Connick Jr too.
LOL... I don't think I've heard about getting a tan. I'll have to check that one out:) Yes, Harry has some good renditions of Christmas tunes.
