Frosty and I both want a Winter Wonderland
We put our Christmas decorations up Thanksgiving weekend. Before I met hubby, they didn't go up before mid December. This year reminded me why. Here in the southeast, it has been too warm for Santa and candy canes, let alone the poor snowmen and penguins. The last week has been pushing 80 degrees every day. Today we're only suppose to hit 56. Still too warm for our cold climate friends! ;)
That didn't stop hubby and the boys from wanting them up though. So poor Frosty, though smiling, can't be too happy out in our front yard. Such the trooper he and my 4 little penguins are in this crazy weather. I'm thinking Mr. Penguin can rest and lay his shovel down for a bit.
It's kind of difficult to really get into the wintery mood, when it feels like Spring. Anyone else in the warmer climates having the same problem?I miss looking out my window and seeing sparkling white snow, while sipping a cup of hot chocolate, bundled up in a cozy blanket on the sofa, reading Christmas stories to the boys.
I have heard from many of my Mom buddies who have lots of snow and cold weather. I keep telling them to send it our way and I'll send them some of the warm stuff, but for some reason it just hasn't made it yet. Frosty and I will have to wait a little while longer to go "Walkin' in our winter wonderland."
