Happy Birthday to Mom

For many, Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. Since Thanksgiving is in October here in Canada, it’s a bit too early for me to think about Christmas.

Instead, my Christmas season starts today. Today is my Mom’s birthday and I am looking forward to my family coming over for dinner and the start of the festivities. I’m cooking dinner for everyone. I’ll have a house full with my parents, my sister, her husband and 2 kids, and the 4 of us. On the menu tonight will be prime rib, Yorkshire pudding and baked potatoes. Yummy! Yummy!

So here’s to a happy birthday for Mom and the beginning of the Christmas fun for us! Cheers to all you wonderful Mommies and your families as well.
