Kids Christmas List Funnies

So I finally got around to having my kids write down their Christmas list and I really need to save this to show them when they get older. The last few years they wrote out lists too, but I guess because they were kind of young, they all just kind of copied each other. This year I think they are getting the hang of it. They seem to be using their own brain to really think this through and I'm seeing much more individuality.

My oldest daughter (age 10) had 26 things on her list. My youngest daughter (age 5) had 14 things on it (her sisters helped her write them all). This left my middle daughter (age 7) wondering if her list was adequate as it only has 8 things on it. She handed it to me asking if it was "okay" that her list only has 8 things on it. LOL, I assured her that it was fine.

Here are some of the things my oldest daughter asked for:

"Grumpy Care Bear" (that would be appropriate LOL)
"A huge photo album" (not any album, but a HUGE one)
"Black Scotts High Heels" (I must be out of the loop, I've never heard of Scotts. Of course, I don't care for high heels so maybe that has something to do with it)
"Black and Red Braces" (she doesn't even have braces yet, but black and red would match her softball uniform)
"My two side teeth" (she knows she needs these before she can get braces)
"Shorts" (compared to all the other things on the list, this one just seems out of place, no specifics, just "shorts")
"A Hawaiian Heirloom bracelet that says my whole name" (my girls each have one Hawaiian bracelet with their first name on it. My oldest daughter knows that one that could fit her whole name, including all 40-something letters in her Hawaiian middle name, would have to be BIG)

Now moving on to my 7-year-old's list (the "short" one):

1. Phone, firefly
2. I-Pod
3. Bangles (I don't know where she got that from, no one here has "bangles")
4. Tamagochi (she bought herself one with birthday $$$ but I guess she wants another?)
5. A trip to Las Vegas (doesn't ask for much does she?)
6. A fake toy car that you can drive in (as opposed to a real one because her sister told her she was too young to have a real car)
7. Money (short and to the point, must be for that Vegas trip huh?)
8. AC in my room (I don't even have an AC in my room)

And last but not least, here are some of the things my 5-year-old wanted:

"Pretty clothes" (not those ugly ones parents tend to buy)
"A fake dog" (we have 13 puppies in our patio, but she wants a fake dog)
"Amazing Alison" (again, out of the loop, this is a cool doll I'm assuming?)
"Picture frame" (???? - why does a 5-yr-old ask for a picture frame?)
"Binder" (huh?)
"Jenny Finch bat and glove" (now there's my girl, but talk about going for the high-end stuff :))

I sent my girls' lists to my sister so that she can have an idea of what they want and her comment was, "Funny how 'camera' is sooooo last year." LOL

What do your kids want?

What do my kids want? That's easy - everything they see on the commercials on the Disney channel.

My oldest even wrote down an 800 number for me for that I could call and order some toy that "only 19.95 if you call in the next 30 minutes!!"

I can't wait until December 26th
