Wishing you a great 2007

Just in case I don't get a chance to come by later, I just wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful 2007. I, for one, and really looking forward to the New Year. This is the first time in my life I welcome a "new start" most of the other years I just had fun looking back over the year and remembering what a great year it was and was almost sad to see it go. It's not that I'm in a "good riddance" mood, but I look forward to putting some things behind me and moving on to a year that hopefully is bigger and better than this one.

We still don't know where we will be for the celebrations this year. Sometimes we go to my in-laws house, but most of their kids are away so I don't know if they are doing anything. Then there's the matter of leaving our dog and her pups home. Usually she's fine with all the noise and fireworks, but she's never had a litter during New Years celebrations before. Maybe she won't like all the noise this time, so we may be staying home. Either way, there will be popping of fireworks outside and our neighbors always cater food and do a big dinner in the cul-de-sac. So if we are staying home, we need to decide quick because we'd have to let them neighbors know how many people will be eating dinner than night and we'll have to turn in our portion of the payment for the food.

This year, I plan to do something a little different. I think I'll go out and get a nice bottle of wine. I don't usually drink, but I think I'll share a glass of wine with DH this year. A new experience for the New Year.

What to you usually do to bring in the New Year?
