"Wow, I didn't know Santa was Black"
LOL Well that was my favorite kid quote from this past weekend. As you know kids say the darndest things.This funny quote came out of the mouth of Devin (on Santa's Lap) a cute 6yo & one of Isaac's best friends as we hit a local mall to see Santa.
See lil' Devin the has been afraid of Santa for his entire life and has never spoken to a Santa but mustered up the courage to see him only if Isaac went with him. So Devins mom and I piled the kids in the car and we hit the mall. Well as we approached the Santa Workshop in the center of the crowded mall, Devin yelled in a loud voice. "WOW, I didn't Know Santa was BLACK"!! "Mommy Why didn't you tell me?!". We fell out laughing and the crowd turned to look at us and joined in with the laughter. Isaac then leaned over to him and said "Santa is whatever color you are or whatever color you want him to be" Too Too CUTE!!

Oh that's so cute! Kids just don't realize how darn cute they can be. lol! We have alot of asian people here in Vancouver and for the first time they're going to have an asian santa in one of our malls. I thought that was really nice, so neat to see. :-)
I'm African American and can remember using those same words with my mother. Matter of fact, my siblings and I were at a big disagreement to this unique Santa who came for a visit.

OMG - that's too funny! I've never seen that before. This year I was quite impressed with the Santa the kids took a pic with - real beard and real hair. Very cool.
