Mom and Dad Get Blasted
But here I'll show you my husbands. He and I went to different artists. Believe me, I never thought I'd let him get this type of tattoo, but I think it came out pretty impressive. It's not done yet and mine may have hurt, but this one was 3 hours of tattooing. Ouch! It took about an hour or so to draw the lines on my husbands arm, then he went to work with the tattoo gun. None of it is stenciled, it's just what the artist came up with as he worked. In a few weeks my husband has to go back to finish it (shading), but that shouldn't take quite as long. Anyway - for now, here it is:

So will we let our kids get tattoos? I tell them yes, but they have to wait as long as we did. They can either get one after they've been married for 5 years (like DH) or after they've already had 3 kids (like me). Of course, we also tell them they have to finish college and have a job and get married before they have kids. ;) I figure if we say it enough, they may accept that as their path.
