My Son Ate Three 'Owls' Today

My son Hayden has this crafty type book that I think came from my mom (she's a teacher so there are always books everywhere) and in it there is this cute little craft/recipe for making a little face out of crackers.

Well when Hayden saw it he wanted to do one so later on for snacktime I made one for him and he just loved it. He said it was an 'owl'. He isn't by any means the worst eater and it usually isn't a problem to get him to eat some fruit and veggies but with this little guy he just wanted more and more. So altogether today he's had three of them.

I had an idea by the last one to post here about the cute cracker people. Here's the picture:

Here's how I made it:
- Take 4 Soda Crackers
- Lay the crackers out so they make a big square. Spread peanut butter over the whole thing.
- Take a slice bananna or apple for the eyes. Then dab a little bit of peanut butter on the fruit and add a raisin to each.
- Use raisins or cereal to make the nose and mouth.
- Get creative and make a hat, hands or something fun from the left over fruit.
