Celebrity Relationships: Jennifer Hudson gets it!

The other night I was watching the Barbara Walters’ Oscar special and she was talking to Jennifer Hudson (who ended up winning the supporting role Oscar) and she asked about her boyfriend.

Jennifer is one smart cookie at 25 years old. She’s been dating her childhood sweetheart for 7 years. He's a maintenance engineer and Barbara asks Jennifer something along the lines of

"You're dating your childhood sweetheart, James Peyton, of 7 years. He's a maintenance engineer and you're doing all kinds of things like traveling here and there. Relationships change and people change, what do you think about that in terms of your relationship and what's going to happen?"

Ok, I know that’s her job to ask questions such as this, but still it irritates me!

Without skipping a beat, Jennifer came back with what basically meant this

"He's the one that knows the real Jennifer Hudson. Everyone else knows the Jennifer from Dream Girls or American Idol. He knows the real me. Why would I want to mess with that?"

Way to go Jennifer!
