The End is Near for Harry Potter

After 9 years of extreme popularity, the Harry Potter series is coming to an end this summer. July 21st is the release date for the 7th and final Harry Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. The movie version of the 5th book is set to open on July 13th.

I won't spoil anything for those of you who are fans, not that I have any real details of what's going to happen, but if you're curious and want some details read this article for juicy tid bits of what is to come in the newest book.

The success of the Harry Potter is still amazing to me. Look what we moms can do! For those of you who don’t know, the author of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowlings, made up the story of Harry Potter to tell her children. If memory serves me right, she never had intentions of turning into a best selling series that would be in the hands of millions of people all over the world. (Last I heard, the 6th book, “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince”, is the fastest selling book ever.)

My boys are still a bit young for the series, but what about your children? Do they have the Harry Potter fever? And what about you, do you read them too? I know a few moms who are just as interested in the books as their kids. :)
