Live in Vancouver? Going to the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival?

The 2007 Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival takes place from March 26 – April 1st. A wine tasting event, the festival is a fundraiser for the Playhouse Theatre Company.

This year’s festival includes over 1,500 different wines from 180 wineries in 17 different countries. That’s a lot of wine!

Each year the event has a theme region that showcases wines from one particular area. This year Australia, where there are currently over 2,000 wineries, is the lucky country. There’s bound to be atleast one good one out of that many right?

My friend and I plan to go. We’re particularly excited about the focus on Australian wine and love tasting all the new blends out of the country.
