The Media Cart

I heard on a local radio station that today is National Return the Shopping Cart Day. After announcing the holiday, the DJ went on to say that grocery stores are going high tech and pretty soon, you may see a Media Cart in your local store.

Introducing The Media Cart - this thing is amazing!!

You can type your grocery list into the shopping cart and it will guide you directly to the items on your list. No more wandering up and down the aisles looking for the Arm & Hammer Baking Soda.

As you pass certain items, it will tell you if there's a great sale you're about to miss. "Oreos - 2 for 1!"

The cart will even keep a tally of how much money you've spent as you put items into your basket. My husband and I looked at each other in disbelief that last time we went to the grocery store. We knew the other person must have put some unauthorized purchases into the basket!

And if you decide you'd like to take the Media Cart home with you, the store can turn on the GPS tracking system and come and pick it up from your house.

If only it has a Fun-House on it or I could bring DVDs for the kids to watch while I shop....

Wow! Incredible. My first thought, however, was "Won't it take too much time to enter my grocery list into the cart?". I can probably find half the items myself in the time I take to type up the list.
But still, pretty cool.

I would really love it but who has time to enter their grocery list?

Maybe you could just enter the elusive items - you know the ones you think are on a certain aisle, but after you've been up and down that aisle twice - you still can't find them!

You dont have to manually enter your list in at the store...you simple email your list to the cart and it will be there when you get to the store.
