My Little Helper

My 3 1/2 year old is a really good helper. He helps me load and unload the dishwasher... all by himself. He puts on laundry and even knows where the soap goes and what settings to put it on!

He can also vacuum pretty well. Now I know it may sound like i'm running a military camp over here but he really wants to help. He's always asking could he help me do this or that and everytime I'm cooking pulls up next to me and wants to help. He peels carrots, cucumbers and does a bunch of other jobs.

Funny though, he'll help me with all those things but won't pick up his toys! He's a good boy though and a great help to me. I think it's good for kids to learn to do their part with chores and also learn to be independent. What about you, do you have any little helpers in your house?

PS. My little helper could really use a haircut soon!

Awww that is too cute!!! My Son Isaac is the same way and it is alot of fun. He now can scramble eggs and make toast and serves up a great breakfast (LOL). Getting him to clean up his room is another story...lol

Your son is adorable and the fact that he is so eager to help is wonderful!!

Mila - that's so great that he likes helping you do all that stuff. You know the ladies will love that when he's older! LOL - anyway, my son likes to help carry groceries out of the car. He also likes to throw things away and find mom and dad's cell phone and keys. Somehow he always knows where they are (on the desk, on the end table, on the dinning room table) and he gives them to us. My youngest daughter likes putting groceries away. My oldest likes starting the washer and organizing the pantry. My middle daughter doesn't really show interest in any of that. LOL

My 4 year old is that way too. Every day at around 4 o'clock, she gets into a tizzy and picks up everything. The other day she went into my Mom's bathroom all alone, said: "This is a mess!" and started organizing. It's so adorable!
