Catering to Your Child's Learning Style

Last week, Mila started a discussion at the forum about how kids learn best.

Some kids are more hands on learners, while others only show interest in topics they are really interested in and still other kids seem to thrive on the whole school atmosphere and make their teachers wish there were more like them.

After reading some of the other mom’s comments on how their kids tackle learning, I’m curious if boys tend to be more hands on learners, while girls seem to fit into the public school atmosphere better. Having only boys, of which only one is in his first year of school, I’ve not been exposed too much other than his learning style.

How do your kids learn best? For those who aren’t necessarily the school’s dream learner, how do you see that they are still completing even the assignments they don’t like to do?
