Pondur On This
"Here Comes Trouble"
"Terrible Twos"
"Flirting My Way To The Top"
"My Mom Is Hotter Than Yours"
Well, ok... maybe that last one is alright, but you see my point. ;)
Last night I met a woman who is going to change some of the things we're reading on kid's chests. Christy, along with her business partner Shanna, launched Pondur, a line of infant, kid and even grown up Tees that say something meaningful for a change... things like "My Footprints May Be Small, But My Dreams Are Big".
These are shirts for kids who are going to stand out from the crowd and go somewhere. Check them out.

Wow Carrie, What a great concept! You know I was just inside Zellers lastnight looking for just 1 new tshirt for my 5 year old, and I could hardly believe that alot of the tshirts had a skull and crossbones on them, they were pretty in silver and if you didn't look close enough you may not realize it's there, but how sick is that? I remember when I was a kid what a skull and crossbones represented, and it wasn't something pretty on a tshirt. They also market to our teenagers, but this was a Hillary Duff Tshirt!!
Blame Johnny Depp for the skull and cross-bones. :-)
About a year ago, I was in a t-shirt transfer store and they had some "samples" on toddler-sized t-shirt. They were totally inappropriate for kids, but funny possibly for adults. I said something like, "That's funny, but I guess not a lot of parents get that for their kids."
The store clerk said they sold a lot for kids and told me some other popular ones and I was baffled. I guess it's what the market wants and that's why it's there.
Carrie, I hope your friend attracts the attention of the more conscientious parent.
