Yikes - Gas is so expensive
I can't believe how much gas prices are these days - over here in Redlands, CA - the cheapest gas station is $3.19/gallon - yesterday, we went to visit my mother in law and I noticed that over there, gas is $3.09. It is tooo expensive. I am so thankful that I do not have to drive to work - my commute is about 30 seconds from my bedroom to my work area - I am so lucky.
My husband drives to work - about 12 miles each way twice a week and the other 3 days - he drives farther because he needs to check up on his students in different hospitals - and he ends up filling the tank at least once if not twice a week. But, his mileage is paid for - so that helps a bit.
I have not been driving for a very long time - maybe only 15 years - but I remember when gas was barely $1 per gallon - I remember when $12 would last as a week - now, it's impossible to just get $12 for gas - my truck alone costs me $70 plus for a full tank.
How about you - how much is gas in your area?

Filled up today for 2.59 on base in FL. I feel a lot better now that I read how much you paid!
It about $1.10 per liter here, with daily variations. According to my calculations that's well over $4 per gallon.
It is $2.39 on base here in SC. A few cents more out in town. Of course a month ago it was down to $2.10 or so.
Here in Michigan I filled up on Saturday for $2.59 a gallon!
Update - I passed by the gas station today and realized that the gas price went up again - it is now $3.39 .
