What a 4-Year Old Boy Wants for His Birthday

I love the boy's birthdays and the parties, but I dread all the incoming toys that overtake their closets, bedrooms and the whole entire house.

Since the beginning of Spring, little Natey has been asking me, "Mommy, one day can we plant a cherry blossom tree?" over and over again.

Hmmmm...I thought. An environmentally-friendly gift that won't cause any household clutter. So, his big brother and I headed out the local Home Depot and came home with his Japanese Weeping Cherry.

As you can see Natey is delighted by his very own ornamental cherry tree!

Your son is so sweet. Any boy that wants a tree over a bunch of toys is my kind of guy!

Will he be able to bring that tree with him when ya'll move?

Yep, Nell...we're keeping it in the pot until we go.
