Why I Don't Vote for American Idol
Okay, I watch the show, but haven't voted in ages. Tonight I decided to call in because it's for the "Idol Gives Back" show. So of course, I have more than one person I want to vote for, just as I used to before when I voted in the past. I decided to call in for my two favorites, Melinda and Jordin.
Well, now I remember why I stopped voting. I so think the lines are rigged. I had NO problem voting for Melinda. I got about 6 votes in. I called Jordin's numer (both of them) almost twice as much as I called Melinda's and I did not get through at all. Not one of my calls got through and counted as a vote for Jordin. It would be very hard for me to believe it's because sooooo many more people are voting for Jordin than Melinda and her lines are just that busy.
So, like I said, it just seems like somehow the lines are more "available" for certain contestants. I don't know if it's true or not. It's just what I've noticed and why I got annoyed with voting for the show and why I probably won't do so again for a while. But it did it for tonight since it was "for a good cause."

I don't think they are rigged... America is just getting tired of the "old voice" in my opinion of Melinda. I think she will be in bottom 3 tonight. I couldn't get through Jordin either.. but she is phenomonal and I truly believe she is our next American Idol :). She always rocks the house and at 17? She's just amazing.
See - Jordin was one of the bottom two people. So couldn't be that her lines were soooo busy from people calling in. I think she was one of the bottom two because no one could get through. Who knows why. Like I said, I called her line twice as much as I called Melinda's. I got through 6-7 times for Melinda and ZERO for Jordin and Jordin was one of two with the least amount of votes. Hmmm.....
