Memorial Day Fun

This Memorial Day - we were so hoping to do something fun but our budget didn't really allow us ... so we did something creative. We are camping .... in our backyard! Sounds weird huh! But, you know what the kids are all excited - I am excited too cause I do not have to pack tons of things - we do not have to go on a road trip - there are clean bathrooms - and the convenience of a sink - let a lone a dishwasher.

We are sleeping in the backyard and I had to remind my husband a few times to make sure to turn the sprinkler off because I do not want to wake up to the sprinklers. Although we have no firepit where we can roast marshmallows - we will be using our grill to acheive the same effect. The kids brought their sleeping bags out and their flashlights too. We are playing charades and laughing. We are having lots of fun and it will be something that is trully MEMORABLE. Hey - this may be a family tradition we are starting here.

I wish we have thought of doing this sooner - especially when the kids were much smaller.
