Summer’s Coming: Where Will Your Phone Be?

Forum member, Mel, started a post the other day about how her teenage daughter has “taken over” the family’s phone.

I remember talking on the phone as a teen to all my girlfriends…but I wasn’t the gossip queen that some of my friends were. Besides, I was only allowed to use the phone that was in the kitchen, so I wasn’t afforded that much phone privacy…so why bother, LOL!

Of course, I have boys and they aren’t old enough for phone time yet, but I’m sure when they get to be teenagers they will talk on the phone a lot, however probably not as much as their girl counterparts.

For those of you with teenagers, girls or boys, what do you do to keep the phone time under control? What are your plans for summer time when the kids are home more often and the battle of the phone will undoubtedly become fiercer? Share your tips in the comments section and come visit the forum to let us know.

LOL I've always had strict phone rules here only because I know how "out of control" it can get. I have 2 teen daughters ages 15 & 19 and they have they love to yap (I wonder where that comes from).. lol

Well the rule here is no calls after 9pm, calls limited to 30minutes, unles you are studying. Isreal has a weekly Tuesday study phone conversation on 3way with some friends.

I remember as a teen sneaking to the phone when my grandmother was asleep whispering so she wouldn't hear me. :)

Oh and for the summer - well I have all that covered. Both teen girls will be working during the day (thank heavens).
