A Great Adventure

My friends are taking off for 4 months travelling with the kids. They'll be going down to Mexico for a few weeks where the dad does turtle research for Earth Watch and as part of his University program (he's a professor). They'll also be going to Canada to visit family and several other places.

I've always wanted to take my kids out of school and travel around the world for a while. Lately, I've been reading about more and more people doing this. I think seeing the world and experiencing different cultures can be such an awesome experience for young children. Not to mention the experience of forming closer bonds as a family... they're really looking forward to taking this time to connect as a family and just enjoying new experiences.

And who knows, maybe i'll be doing this in the next year or two (minus the turtles). I say live for the moment and enjoy life now.... you only get one shot :-)
