Hand me the Jack Hammer - I'm going in!
To many parents, their teen is a closed book and getting a teen to talk can be like trying to make the earth stop rotating. At times it seems impossible to get them to open up and talk about their lives. But talking to your teen and knowing about their lives is one of the best ways to protect them from danger.
If you have a teenager, hey even if you have a pre-teen you want to tune into this weeks Parenting My Teen Podcast. We are having a laid back conversation about ways to get your teen to open up to you and we are also talking about ways to connect with your teenager!
I love getting feedback so be sure to leave your comments about the show or hey, even share your own tips on how you connect with your children and get them to open up.
P.S. For the parents out there that may feel that their teen may be reluctant to talk to you at first, keep trying. Likely, you’ll find a common ground and they’ll look forward to talking with you and spending time with you as well.

Good for you, Aurelia...you're doing great things.
I just keep talking and talking to my little guys who always want to talk and share with me. I never want to let that end, cuz I know the older years can be tough.
Our daughter is only 6, but I honestly can't see her NOT talking lol -she never stops rofl. We'll see what happens in a few years.
