My 4 Year Old Is Changing Diapers

Should I be scared? LOL

I smelled a ripe diaper on my youngest but was finishing something up before I changed her. Next thing I know, 4 year old Ilana announces that she did the job herself.

At first I had visions of smeared poop all over my bed (her changing location), but I checked and there was none! I asked Ilana if she wiped the baby's bum, and she said she did, with a wet washcloth.

Then I asked what she did with the diaper and she said, "I put it in the hamper, silly!"

Like duh, Mom ;)

Hmm... this could be a good thing. My 9 year old is teaching the 6 year old how to read and do 4th grade math, the 4 year old is changing diapers...

I think I'll put my feet up and read a book ;)

Angela, I think she's just having fun with a real live baby. Changing baby dolls is boring in comparison. LOL!

Oh if I could only get our 6 year old to change diapers... I could get SO much more done. The 2 1/2 year old is ALMOST potty trained.... She's helped me change her brother, but I don't think she could handle changing him. I can barely keep him still long enough LOL -and he almost weighs as much as she does :)

The way it should be. ;) Siblings should help each other and they should want to help their younger siblings.

Nicky loves to help with the baby. I think it's sweet. Good for your kiddo's!

What an awesome little helper you have over there. You are lucky! My daughter didn't care to help out when it came to diaper changes with his little brother.

I never helped change my sister's diapers (3 1/2 years older), but I do remember helping Mom hang cloth diapers on the clothes line lol
