Why Didn’t We Leave These in High School: Cliques

As I was perusing a few mommy blogs the other day I came across an interesting post over at The Reign of Ellen about mommy cliques. Honestly, I love gossip, but this post made me realize even more that some things will never change.

Even as moms, many of us still act like they are in high school and separate themselves into “groups” based on their money situations, mothering choices, and more. It’s so sad really that as moms we can’t all just come together with the common bond of motherhood, despite our differences. We should all be able to appreciate those things that are different among us and still be friends to one another.

Yes, I like drama, but I would never intentionally create it among people who are in the same shoes as I am as a mother even if they are a different make or color.

I can relate. I am always saying that we (all mothers) are in the same boat and need to support each other, no matter what our differences. It's a hard enough job without us getting all "highschool" on each other.

Let it go, ladies, and let's help each other out.

I think we've been reading the same stuff lately. :)

I also just posted about this matter personally on my site and what I am going through.

Here they call it the playground mafia...

House in France - check
Expensive SUV - check
Piano & Ruby lessons - check
Ski Holidays - Check

LOL, a certain clique of mothers who arrange strategic playdates and want to keep the PTA for themselves...
