When do you clean your house?
If I take an hour now, it will be finished, easier and much nicer for the day, but I will have lost a much needed productive working hour.
If I work now, I may never get to the cleaning at all, or I will end up doing it tonight with interruptions, noise and kids in my way (ever noticed that when you start to clean something, everyone in the house just gravitates, I call it their radar, if it's the kitchen their hungry, if it's the livingroom they want to watch tv, if it's the bathroom, they all need to go, like now!)
Anyway, I have wrestled with this a lot, I guess it comes down to work or house, maybe switching it up is the best idea although for me, getting on one routine seems to work best.
What do you do? Do you clean your house when the "coast is clear" even if it costs you good work time, or do you do it when you wouldn't be getting much done in the way of concentration anyway and just duck and dodge as you go :0)

I struggle with this too. I have always struggled with housecleaning, but here's my latest issue. My son started half day preschool so he's gone 3 1/2 hrs in the morning, our routine is all new. I get up earlier than ever before and still get "next to nothing" done. I have this same dilemma you have... do I clean while the coast is clear or do I work? I'm a WAHM so I need good uninterrupted work hours, they almost are nonexistent but then again, I need to clean. Also, this week I've just watched the clock afraid I"d loose track of time and forget to go get him.
Ideally...I "outsource" the cleaning so that I don't give up valuable work time ;) - I consider it one of those "less productive" tasks that I don't like doing anyway. ;)
