More On Deceptive “Healthy” Advertising

Sorry it seems like I’m talking a lot about it, but this topic really gets my goat! It just makes me sad to see stuff like this all the time!

I recently saw a Tang advertisement that touted they had 1/2 the sugar of 100% juice. Please! Sugar water or juice from real fruit (the no sugar added kind of course). Which is better? It AIN’T the sugar water.

It may have been good for astronauts, but for the kiddos, water and milk are much better. And a real REAL fruit juice thrown in here and there is just fine.

It's probably sweetner. I saw an ad today for McDonalds saying the coke was zero sugar or something like that, and I've noticed ads saying no sugar but then the product contains sweetners... I'll take the real sugar thank you.

We always dilute the juice and the kids have gotten used to that.

You're probably right. It was just an ad and I didn't see the product.

It's like the sugary cereals saying 1/3 less sugar and that's because they use Splenda. I admit, I use sweeteners, but I don't want to give them to my kids. They don't need that bad habit.

Don't even get me started.... Now they even have kool-aid juice box things.

I'll take the real deal anyday. I'm with Mila on the diluting of the juice, too. My son doesn't know any better,
