Where's The Turkey?
While I was helping to clear up the dishes, I realized that we didn't have one single Tommy Turkey hanging anywhere.
There was no Thanksgiving paraphenalia hanging around. No cut outs. No construction paper. No gobble.
My youngest daughter is in grade 5 now and apparently they don't do Thanksgiving crafts now that they are "big kids".
So I guess I've gone through all the Thanksgiving classroom creations that I am going to be recieving.
It seems weird.
So what am I thankful for at this minute, as I ponder one more time (what's with that lately) the speed that my little people seemed to have been replaced by "big people".
I'm thankful for all of the years that I was truly blessed by "my" little people.
Nothing compares. It seems like it will last forever, but it doesn't. Not even close.
And I'm thankful for the "big people" they have become. It's been quite a ride - especially when I was teaching my son to drive. We weren't always between the lines!
As my youngest daughter once said "Thanks for the love". :0)
