Deep Thoughts & Questions on the Way to Preschool

Often our ride to preschool in the morning is a quiet and sleepy experience, but this morning my 4 year old was full of facts and questions. Here's what I can remember:

(By the way, if this picture of my son looks familiar, it is pretty new. This big squinty smile is his signature look...kind of like Zoolander's "Magnum", but better!)

  • Do jellyfish have noses?
  • Can meat get stuck in your teeth?
  • When is the last time you went to church?
  • I think God made volcanoes with magic.
  • When will I lose my first tooth?
  • You make money when you go to a store. They give you money before you leave.
  • Igloos are houses in the arctic.
Thanks for the conversation, little guy.

My 7 year old still gets excited about getting change back when he buys something from the store... he just doesn't get it. LOL!

Too funny Alice, your kids don't seem to be as atheistic as you. ;)

I'm not 100% sure where it comes from. There is a lot of God talk from them. Their Dad is Catholic, but not practicing and doesn't talk about it - except when they have questions.

I don't think I'm atheist. Agnostic is probably a better way to describe me.

LOL That's how we make money; we Go Shopping, wouldn't that be great? He's a cutie Alice! Tell him the Pope is visiting nearby in the states. That could spark another great conversation.
