Mommy Wars - Don't They Know?

Secondly, it just makes me sick that Oprah, of all people, is jumping on the bandwagon and hosting an episode on this topic. Can't people just leave Elizabeth Vargas alone? So what if she's all blissed out on lactation hormones and doesn't want to leave her baby? Why does she have to make some kind of feminist "statement"? Isn't the point for women to have choices?
Of course, the show airs tomorrow so obviously I haven't seen it and can't pass judgment (I never watch Oprah and certainly won't be tuning in tomorrow because I just know I'll need a barf bag handy, as I always do when Oprah talks about motherhood!).
Thirdly, why doesn't anyone ever mention that women don't HAVE to choose between working for money and being with their kids? Why are work at home options never mentioned on these shows? In my opinion, it's simply because people are only interested in fighting for the sake of arguing. They don't really want to reach consensus or do what's best for the kids, they just want to argue their position.
